Media Kit # Media Kit and Fact Sheet: Delta's LaGuardia Investment ### **DELTA’S INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENT COAST TO COAST** - **Delta has spent the past decade investing more than $12 billion in airport hubs across the country**, cementing our commitment to modernize and transform the travel experience. These facilities aren’t just beautiful and new – they're also expertly designed for optimal efficiency and speed, allowing travelers to navigate quickly, easily, and intuitively. - In fact, Delta opened [Phase One of the Sky Way at LAX to customers](https://news.delta.com/deltas-new-terminal-3-lax-featuring-show-stopping-delta-sky-club-now-open) on April 20, kicking off the multi-year infrastructure transformation at another one of its important coastal hubs. ### **THE DELTA SKY WAY AT LGA PROJECT** - Delta and the PANYNJ are jointly investing $4 billion at LGA that will consolidate Terminals C and D into a state-of-the-art terminal facility, spanning 1.3 million square feet and featuring 37 gates across four concourses. - **A transformed, efficient experience has been created at LGA’s brand-new Terminal C,** and customers will experience this transformation from the moment they arrive. A centralized check-in lobby, security checkpoint and baggage claim area is easy to navigate while providing customers with space to breathe. - Terminal C has been designed for optimal efficiency and speed, allowing New Yorkers to navigate to and from their gates quickly and intuitively, utilizing the latest technologies such as hands-free bag drop, self-serve check-in and [Digital ID screening capabilities.](https://news.delta.com/delta-reveals-first-ever-dedicated-tsa-precheckr-lobby-bag-drop) - Concourse E, the second of the four concourses to be built with the new terminal, will open with the new headhouse and consist of ten new gates (nine that will be operational as of June 4) that will be able to accommodate Delta’s full range of domestic fleet from regional jets up to 737-900s and A320s or A321s. - Delta has accelerated timelines and pulled the future forward even faster to give NYC and New Yorkers the airport it deserves. The entire four-concourse terminal will now be fully complete by the end of 2024, almost two years earlier than originally planned. - Delta has invested nearly $7 billion in NYC airports since 2010, part of what’s earned our designation as New York’s No. 1 airline. ### **DELTA IN NEW YORK CITY** - No one knows New Yorkers better than Delta, and this marks the latest in our ongoing commitment to the community, customers and employees. - **Delta and its more than 10,000 New York-based employees** are part of the fabric of the New York community. - **Delta is proud to be the official airline of Madison Square Garden**, which includes the New York Knicks, New York Rangers, The Beacon Theatre, and Radio City Music Hall, as well as the New York Yankees and the New York Mets. - **Delta also provides funding and support to over 30 non-profit organizations throughout the state** focused on equity, education and the environment such as the Food Banks (New York City, Western New York, and Central New York), the United Negro College Fund, Junior Achievement (New York, Central Upstate New York and Western New York divisions), the New York Restoration Project and multiple YMCA chapters, to name a few. ### **BY THE NUMBERS** **Subject****Fact****Facility**- Delta and the PANYNJ are jointly investing $4 billion at LGA that will consolidate Terminals C and D into a brand-new, state-of-the-art terminal facility. - Spans 1.3 million square feet - 36 full-service check-in counters - 49 self-service kiosks - 16 bag-drop counters including a bag drop option at every entry point. - 11 security lanes opening day, with capacity to add up to five additional lanes in the future - Nine lanes with fully automated technology - 37 gates across four concourses (in its end state) - Five spacious baggage claim carousels **Concourse E**Concourse E: - The second of four, new concourses to open at the same time as the headhouse. - Ten new gates (nine of them operational on June 4) that will be able to accommodate Delta’s full domestic fleet of narrowbody aircraft **Sky Club**- Terminal C at LGA will be home to the newest and largest Delta Sky Club in the system (at end state), featuring architectural touches that evoke New York City at the turn of the 20th century, such as harlequin-patterned screens and rich warm metals. - Curated artwork throughout the Club reflects New York City’s dominance in the international art scene. - The Club will boast over 34,000 square feet (at end state) to relax and recharge, with seating for nearly 600 guests upon opening. - The Club features a gourmet kitchen, premium bar, two food buffets and three beverage bars. - A future addition to the Club will see the completion of a year-round Sky Deck featuring exceptional outdoor views. **Restaurants**- In partnership with longtime partner OTG, Concourse E features a variety of premier restaurant options, including: - Bubby’s Diner - Chuko Ramen - Eggy Weggy - Essex Burger - Poppy’s Bagel - Starbucks - Sunday Supper Trattoria **Retail**- Airport retailer Stellar Partners collaborated with Delta to deliver specialty retail stores and news and gift outposts such as: - Beekman 1802 - Briggs & Riley - BuzzFeed News - Le Labo - MAC - Patricia Nash - True to New York **Sustainable Facility**- Terminal C will be LEED® Silver-certified with multiple sustainable elements incorporated throughout including: - LED lighting - Exterior glass that automatically tints based on the weather and time of day - Charging for electric ground support equipment - An ice-making plant that produces ice during off-hours to cool during the day, reducing power demand during peak periods **Art, Design & Digital Elements**- A world-class art program in partnership with the Queens Museum, showcasing custom pieces from six local artists that share a compelling story of New York’s immigrant history, its people and the importance of the city’s diversity. - Digital art; a massive digital art installation made of 34 lenticular panels is displayed overhead the security checkpoint while scenes from the five boroughs greet customers at the baggage claim vestibules. - A 238-foot digital backwall in the check-in lobby will feature gate information in addition to TSA wait times and Sky Club volume - Digital signage provides customers with clear and simple wayfinding that includes walk times between gates. **Multi-Sensory Room**- Located through security is a multi-sensory room, providing a calming, supportive environment for customers with sensory sensitivities and their families as they travel. **Cargo DASH Office**- Cargo customers can now drop off small parcels to the new DASH office, conveniently located on the check-in floor (floor three). Additionally, there are five DASH-designated parking spots on the mezzanine level, just a 90-second walk to the drop-off location, for same day DASH and DASH Critical shipments. **Network**- Delta is LGA’s largest carrier, offering 255 daily flights to nearly 70 destinations this summer. - With more than 465 total daily departures to over 120 domestic and international destinations between our LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and John F.
