- Airport Code: SLC



- Delta is Salt Lake City’s largest global carrier, offering more flights out of Utah than all-other carriers combined, with up to 255 peak-day departures to 96 destinations across the globe



- Delta’s SLC service dates from April 17, 1926, when Western Air Express (later Western Airlines) began mail service; passenger service started May 23, 1926. Delta flights at SLC began on April 28, 1980. Western merged with Delta in 1987.



## Connecting Salt Lake City to the World

Delta is launching its first-ever nonstop service from Salt Lake City (SLC) to South America later this year. From Dec. 4, 2025, through Jan. 25, 2026, Delta will operate daily flights between SLC and Lima, Peru (LIM). This route strengthens [Delta’s partnership with LATAM](https://www.delta.com/us/en/airline-partners/latam), offering customers convenient one-stop connections from SLC to major South American cities.



Delta also launched its first-ever nonstop service from Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) to Seoul-Incheon International Airport (ICN) on June 12, 2025.



## Customer Experience/Facilities 

In September 2020, Delta’s growth expanded at Salt Lake City International Airport with the launch of a [900,000-square-foot Concourse A](https://news.delta.com/delta-launches-service-new-salt-lake-city-airport-part-12b-investment-us-airports). Summer 2023 saw the opening of nine additional gates, and in October 2023, in partnership with the Salt Lake City Department of Airports, Delta [finished the eastern portion of Concourse A](https://news.delta.com/delta-completes-concourse-expansion-salt-lake-city-international-airport) with 22 more gates, bringing the airline’s gate total to 50 at SLC. The expansion also included a new Delta Need Help Center for customers looking for travel assistance, as well as 19 new restaurants and shops.



Earlier in 2023, Delta also further cemented its position as the leading global carrier in SLC with a new lease agreement with Salt Lake City that increases Delta’s gate count from 55 to 66, with an anticipated completion in 2027.



### Pilot Training Facility 

In June 2023, Delta broke ground on a [new pilot training facility](https://news.delta.com/deltas-investment-salt-lake-city-grows-new-pilot-training-facility). Located next to Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), the 47,000-square-foot facility will complement Delta’s Atlanta training facility and is scheduled to open in 2025. Upon completion, the new facility will have capacity for 10 simulators, beginning with four simulators at its opening.

### Delta Sky Club 

Opened in October 2025, the [Delta Sky Club at Concourse B in SLC](https://news.delta.com/delta-opens-second-largest-delta-sky-club-network-salt-lake-city-international-airport) is the second largest Club to date. The nearly 34,000 square foot space - which pays homage to Utah's natural beauty - accommodates up to 600 guests and features:

- A wrap-around premium bar
- Nine sound-proof telephone booths
- A food buffet and two beverage stations, which includes a "Dirty Soda" bar - unique to this Club
- A Digital Immersion wall - a first for Delta - that surrounds guests with panoramic visuals of Utah's iconic landmarks, paired with nature sounds for a calming, 4D experience

This Club joins the first Delta Sky Club at SLC, which opened in 2020. That 28,000-square-foot space offers guests views of the Wasatch Range from the covered open-air Sky Deck and a 360-degree fireplace in the middle of the lounge.

## **Advancing Sustainable Travel at SLC**

- Nearly 100% of SLC core ground support equipment (GSE) has been electrified



- Nearly 40% of SLC departures are on next-generation fleet (A220, A321 Neo, A350), which are more fuel efficient





- SLC has established taxiways for more efficient taxiing



- 95% waste diversion due to extensive recycling program
